CAMP Welcome Pack

Thank you so much for booking your child onto our one day holiday camp in Bournville! This is our first time running a camp here and we are SO excited to meet new members of the Showtime Circus Family! This welcome pack will hopefully answer any of your questions about the day, but please do not hesitate to email if you have any further questions too! Our holiday camps are jam packed full of fun, including a full schedule of activities, warm-ups, dance, poster designing and of course, the Showtime Showcase Finale!

Jolly Jess

Your circus teachers for the day are  Jolly Jess and Aerial LaCie, with assistants Crazy Cara and Crafty Collette. All of our teachers are DBS and have up to date first aid and safeguarding certifications.

A day at camp is from 9-4pm with a small showcase that parents are invited to watch at 3:30pm.

Your children will learn skills such as Aerial Hoop/Silks, Acrobatics, Stilt-Walking and Juggling in a fun and safe environment.

Social Media:

If you do not wish for pictures/videos of your child to be put on Social media, PLEASE make this clear to the teacher upon drop off if you haven't already stated it on booking.

If you do, please add us on instagram/facebook (Jolly Jess facebook profile is for parents only!) so you can see what your children are getting up to!

Aerial LaCie

A typical schedule will consist of the following:

  • Welcome Games - Ringleaders coming!

  • Warmup - Physical warm up

  • Circus Skills - Aerial Hoop/Sling/Hula Hoop etc

  • Lunch 12-12:30pm

  • Art and Craft - PUPPET THEATRE!

  • Circus Skills - Aerial Hoop/Sling/Hula Hoop etc

  • Showcase Rehearsal

  • 3:30pm Showtime Showcase!

  • Warm down

Please dress your child in clothing suitable for moving in! We always say a t-shirt long enough to tuck in as we will be upside down for LOTS of the class or a leotard! Long sleeves and leggings are better.

Please keep the belongings you bring with you to a minimum, however, if the children are a little anxious/worried then they are absolutely welcome to bring a soft toy with them that reminds them of home so that they feel comfortable.

Pack a reusable water bottle as the children will need to be hydrated and well energised! Please pack a packed lunch and lots of energy releasing snacks!

We are a NUT FREE ZONE due to allergies.

The beautiful art of forming shapes with your body, while suspended from height, either on a hoop, rope, or silks.

The performance of extraordinary human feats of balance, agility and motor co-ordination.

An amazing skill which uses advanced hand-eye co-ordination.

It is scientifically proven that circus skills can greatly assist in the development of children’s brains, as well aiding in the growth in communication and social skills.
