BIOGRAPHY
Kimberley Clarke is one of the Principals of Showtime Circus Factory and Course Leader for Dance in Higher Education at Kidderminster College. She graduated from Middlesex University with a 1st class BA Honours Degree in Dance, previously studying at Goucher College, Baltimore, USA.
She has toured as a dancer with several UK based Contemporary companies including C-12 Dance Theatre, Neshima Dance Company, Attik Dance, Jules Laville and Fast Forward Company. Kimberley has worked as a choreographer on several local and national community based projects and received Arts Council Funding for her own independent work. In more recent years her career has become solely focused on education and helping nurture the talent of future performing artists.

WHAT'S YOUR CIRCUS NAME AND WHY?
Kosmic Kimmy because when I’m not looking up high at students learning aerial skills, I’m looking up at the moon and stars and the magic of the nights sky!

WHAT CLASSES DO YOU TEACH AT SHOWTIME CIRCUS?
I teach Popcorns, Big Tops, High Flyers, Home Ed, Adult Aerial and Stay and Play!

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT CIRCUS?
I love the magic of the circus and how you can learn to do things you never thought possible in a fun way.

WHERE DID YOU TRAIN?
Middlesex University, London and Goucher College, Baltimore USA.

WHAT'S THE FUNNIEST MEMORY YOU HAVE FROM SHOWTIME CIRCUS?
Our training with Jolly Jess and laughing so much it hurt! When we unpacked all the new circus equipment and toys it made me feel like a child again. Flashback to 7 year old Kim, opening a birthday present to find a Diablo! I played with it for hours and can’t wait to get practicing again!
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST FUN PERFORMING JOB?
Touring a contemporary work called ‘Under My Skin’ in Devon and Cornwall. I had a solo where I had to dance under a shower of sand. It was very messy! Plus on my days off I got to go to the beach with the rest of the company!

DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?
Not at the moment but I love having house bunnies!
WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE FLAVOUR DONUT?
It’s all about a warm Original
Glaze Krispy Kreme please! Yummy!
WHAT FLAVOUR ICE CREAM IS YOUR FAVOURITE?
Mint choc chip without a doubt!
