Q: Can parents stay and watch the party?
We totally understand that parents may want to stay and see the fun - especially if your child is a little nervous - but we generally prefer that adults drop off and leave the children with us during the party. This helps the children concentrate, listen to instructions, and get the best possible experience.
For safety reasons, particularly during aerial activities where clear instruction is crucial, we do ask that the majority of adults leave the room where possible. If you do need to stay, we politely request that you keep noise to an absolute minimum so that our instructors can be clearly heard and children remain focused.
Ultimately, our goal is to keep everyone safe and make sure the party is magical, fun, and distraction-free! 🎪
Q: What should the children wear for a party?
We recommend comfy clothes that children can move freely in - think leggings, joggers, and a t-shirt. No skirts, dresses, or jeans please, as they can get in the way during circus activities, and we do go upside down a lot. Bare feet or grippy socks are ideal (no shoes needed), please tie long hair back and do not wear jewellery or clothes with any zips. And don’t forget a water bottle - circus fun is thirsty work!
Q: Do you provide food?
We don’t provide food as part of our circus parties, but you're very welcome to bring your own and the last 30 minutes of each party is designated for the children to eat party snacks or parent provided catering (Such as pizzas/lunchboxes). Some of our venues have designated areas for food, others we get some tables out - if you’re unsure, just ask and we’ll let you know what’s possible. It is advised to bring tablecloths/plates and cutlery with you.
Q: What can we expect at a Showtime Circus party?
A whole lot of fun, laughter, and circus magic! 🎪✨
Our parties are jam-packed with high-energy circus games, skills like plate spinning, juggling, acrobatics and aerial (venue dependent), plus team challenges and plenty of silliness. We tailor each party to the age group and make sure every child feels like a star under the big top.
Expect a friendly teacher, a structured session full of wow moments, and happy, tired children by the end! The last 30 minutes of each party is for food, if you do not intend to cater for your party then please note that your party will be 30 minutes shorter.
Q: Do you have party venues?
Yes! We have a number of venues across the UK where we regularly host our circus parties. You can check if there’s one near you by visiting our Locations page.
If we don’t have a venue close by - no problem! We can bring the circus magic to your chosen venue, whether that’s a hall, studio, or even your garden (weather permitting!). Just get in touch and we’ll help you make it work.
Q: Can you bring the circus party to a venue of my choice?
Absolutely - we love taking the circus on tour!
If you have a venue in mind (like a hall, studio, or large indoor space), we can bring all the circus fun to you. Just make sure the space is suitable for the number of children and the activities you’ve chosen - for example, aerial parties will need a height of at least 2.5m and at least 6mx6m for our 2 x portable rigs and still have enough room for ground based activities too. We appreciate a room that has a door to drive up to so that our team can unload easily with parking onsite too. We have all of the necessary risk assessments, insurance etc so if you require copies of these for your booking, please do not hesitate to ask us!
Q: Can you do a party outside?
Yes - as long as there’s a large enough flat, safe surface, we’re happy to bring the circus fun outdoors!
Just keep in mind that the great British weather isn’t always reliable… so we do ask that you have an extreme weather backup venue available in case it rains or conditions become unsafe. Unfortunately, we can’t run parties on grass, mud, or uneven surfaces for safety reasons.
Q: Is there an age limit for parties?
Our circus parties are best suited for children aged 3 and up, as our activities are designed to support focus, coordination, and safety for little ones. If you’re inviting several children under the age of 3, we may need to increase the number of staff to ensure everyone stays safe - so please let us know in advance if that’s the case.
We’re proud to be an inclusive circus - children of all abilities are welcome, and no previous experience is needed. Every child will be supported to join in at their own level and have an amazing time!
STILT-WALKER
As an added extra, you can add a stilt walker to greet the children in circus outfit as they enter!
AERIAL & ACROBATICS
Every child can try our aerial hoop/silks and learn how to spin and climb!
JUGGLING & GROUND BASED
Everyone will be taught the basics of juggling and other awesome ground based skills, which is enough to enable self-practise at home.
